  This week, I went to the river puppet show! It was really nice considering it was in Vietnamese, and I could understand most of the stuff. MOST of the stuff. Some parts were really funny like the unicorn dance, which is when the unicorns try to catch a ball but continue failing. There is a link if you want to watch some of it! 👇

  There were a LOOOT of people there as well. It was very crowded once the show was done.

  This week we also went on a tour to Ninh Binh, which is a little bit south of Hanoi. The tour was a whole day long, and we went cycling, boat(ing?) and hiking. We hiked 465 steps up and 462 steps down according to me because I was counting the whole way. I definitely got something wrong. 🤓

  The boat(ing?) was really fun because we came second out of our whole group and it was really tiring so we got a well-deserved Starbucks afterwards. 😁 The cycling was pretty easy because we went cycling from Portugal to Spain once. • Hanoi Week 58

  Dear Everyone, 

  I am SO excited to be back today for writing weekly again! You see, the last time I wrote was when I was in Sydney. But we can focus on Hanoi for now.

  Hanoi is a place in Vietnam, a country where the pho (noodle soup) lives, as well as unique coffee varieties, like EGG coffee. Currently we have been focusing on getting used to Vietnam, remembering things like hello or thank you in Vietnamese. It’s xin chào and cảm ơn, btw 🐭. And you might be asking, WHAT is the mouse doing here? Well, to be more precise, it’s supposed to be a 🐀 because I watched Ratatouille for the first time in 12 years! Just kidding I’m 12, so for the first time in my life.

  And the currency is just ARGH. 100 Australian dollars (one AUD is 0.6984 USD) is about 1805699 Vietnamese Don!!! Very hard to calculate.

  We are currently visiting Little Tokyo. We are just visiting not living there, because then all we can eat is UDON and CURRY and UDON and UDON! (And curry…) So when we visit then that’s all we can eat.

  Vietnamese is currently developing rapidly, and as I write I am listening to the annoying sounds of construction. There is construction basically everywhere and it’s extremely hot here, so good luck to all the builders and I hope the future brings ways to construct silently. 😮‍💨

  Speaking of the temperature, it’s 32°C or 89°F if you’re American. Is it just Americans who use Fahrenheit? Tell me in the comments!
